Our Big Girl is SIX Months Old!!!

She's pretty excited about it! She is so grown up that we decided it was time for pig tails! They are so convenient they keep Eleanore's beautiful hair carrot free.

Speaking of carrots that was the new food that Eleanore tried today. It was a hit. Although do to my little girls strong need for independence mom isn't aloud to feed her with a spoon. In fact, I'm not really aloud to help at all. She is fine with me taking whatever it is that she will be eating for the day and mashing it up for her. But they it's 'Hands off mama. I've got this!'

It's a little bit messy. We have to wash her seat cover at least every couple of days now. And the floor needs daily TLC... but it's SO much fun to do things on her own! So while Eleanore feeds herself I get time to clean up the kitchen and show her how awesome my dancing skills truly are.

This is what we are left with in the end. And this is only the first meal of the day! Luckily the pig tails helped keep her hair minimally crusty so we could hold the bath off until bedtime. She wasn't even that sticky! Although I did find some leftover carrot in her ear during our walk.

But she didn't mind! Cause we got to play outside!

Then we came home, ate a delicious dinner of squash and pears, and took a celebratory bubble bath because... Eleanore's 6 months old!

Off to the Park!

Today we took Eleanore to the park. We are so lucky to have a park just two blocks from our house! So we pulled out the trench coat that I bought for Eleanore last fall and grabbed the stroller! Here is a picture of Eleanore trying on her coat for the first time! It's a little big but it's Gap's size 6-12 so I'm guessing it will look a little better when she's standing up! Our tall girl is already in her 12 month pajamas!

Nothing new in Benson

Hello from Eleanore! There is nothing new here this week. Luke has already worked 50+ hours this week so Eleanore and I have been hanging out and have taken A LOT of pictures! Last night she thought it would be funny to wake up every hour so that we could cuddle. It left me exhausted... so exhausted that when I went downstairs to the laundry room to put the clothes from the washing machine into the dryer I got mad and decided the machine must be broken because the clothes from the WASHING machine were still damp... :-) Thankfully there is only ONE more day until it's the weekend!

Eleanore's an Artist!

Well Eleanore is feeling a lot better today! She woke up kicking, squealing, and smiling! Finally! So after her nap today we decided it was time to try finger painting! It was confusing, but fun! And I was left with a very messy baby. Messy equals FUN as far as we are concerned!!
